MAY 14!! It is time once again for the Gatlinburg Elks Par 3 Golf Tournament at Bent Creek Golf Course and there are a few meaningful ways that our members can participate. First, and most obvious, you can come and play. Cost is $100 per player, or assemble your own team for $400. The format is Modified Stableford scoring, with a blind team draw, so you are competing against the others in your foursome for the highest score. Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third place teams and there will be lots of door prizes and closest to the pin prizes on every hole. Plus, lunch will be served before the 1:00 p.m. tee time and a Best Italian buffet will be served following the tournament. An entry form is attached for anyone that would like to play, either single, team or partial team. This is not limited to Elks members only, so please feel free to share the entry form with anyone that you know that may be interested in playing. However, entries are limited to just the first 18 foursomes, so don’t wait too late.
Second, you can volunteer. The volunteers at this tournament have just as much fun as the players (or maybe more). Please see Dave or Becky Hadden if you would like to “work” that day and they will find you something to do.
Third, you can sponsor a hole. Sponsorships are $100 each and include a custom made sign placed at the tee box of one of the holes. A sponsorship is a great way to promote your business or pretty much anything else that you would like to promote or pay tribute to. The sponsorship form is attached if you are interested in helping in this way.
Fourth, you can sell sponsorships to your friends and business associates. Sponsorships aren’t limited just to Elks and every sponsorship is beneficial in our work with East Tennessee Children’s Home. If you know anyone that would like to participate in this way, please forward this email to them so they will have the form available to use.
Finally, as most of you know, ALL proceeds from the tournament will be donated to East Tennessee Children’s Home in Sevierville. This tournament has done a lot of good for a lot of kids over the last eleven years, and we hope to break last year’s $12,500.00 donation record with this year’s gift. Please consider participating with us in one or more of the ways outlined above and together we will continue our Lodge’s legacy of generous giving to our local kids who need our help the most.
